Celtic loanee may not return to club next season
Celtic face battle to keep loanee at the club beyond this season

As per Argentine media outlet El Crack Deportivo via The Celtic Star, on loan Celtic left-back Marcelo Sarracchi is attracting interest from Racing Club in Argentina.
They mention that the club’s current full-back could exit the club, and that they are looking for potential replacements in the event of a departure, with Sarrachi on their list of targets.
At the moment, Sarracchi is on loan at Celtic from Argentine giants Boca Juniors until the end of the season. What happens from then will be interesting, as the South American football schedule goes by calendar year, so he would be returning mid season – and a potential move to Racing Club would also be mid season.
After a slow start to life in Glasgow, Sarracchi has been very impressive of late, and picked up a crucial assst for Kelechi Iheanacho’s late winner at Dundee, only six minutes after entering the pitch to replace Kieran Tierney.
Given the injury record of Celtic’s number 63, they could certainly do worse than keeping the Uruguayan international at the club next season. Having played for River Plate and Boca Juniors, he knows all about playing high stake derby games, as well as winning trophies.
Certainly one to keep an eye on. Let’s wait and see.
