Celtic want to make loanee into a permanent signing
Celtic are looking to bring the first team player to the club permanently

Although it remains unclear as to who will be in the Celtic dugout next season, there is already plenty of talk regarding how the squad will be shaping up ahead of the 26/27 campaign.
After the excellent UEFA Champions League campaign in 24/25, where the team qualified for the knockout rounds, defeating the likes of RB Leipzig along the way, whilst being minutes away from forcing extra-time vs Bayern Munich, there was the huge disappointment of losing to Kazakhstan side Kairat in the play-off round this time.
Therefore, it is crucial that the club build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts, with (at least) two good players in each position. This means new signings, but also keeping hold of players already here.
That becomes more complicated when you have loanees. You have to make a signing but also keep the squad as it is. You are making a signing to not lose any depth, rather than to add depth.
So, it is very important to do so when it is a player capable of contributing. Well, it looks as if Celtic are trying to do exactly that with Marcelo Sarrachi. Indeed, as Argentine journalist German Garcia Grova is reporting hat the Hoops want to make the Uruguayan international’s loan deal a permanent one.
He states that there will be a meeting in two weeks time to explore the conditions of a move for the Boca Juniors player. This comes despite recent talk that he is of interest to fellow Argentine side Racing Club.
Interesting. It would certainly be a smart move. You would imagine that he will not cost a stupid amount of money, and he provides healthy competition at left-back, particularly with the injury history of Kieran Tierney. This would be a smart signing.
