Celtic and Norwich City target striker after Champions League breakout
Celtic and Norwich City are battling to sign a prolific Danish striker in form.

Celtic have reportedly made a late move for Danish striker Kasper Hogh, contacting Bodo/Glimt over a possible deal after his standout brace against Manchester City in the Champions League.
Football Insider claim Celtic have opened talks as they look to add another centre-forward before the January window closes. Norwich City are also said to be interested, meaning the Scottish champions could face competition for his signature.
Hogh has been a consistent threat for Bodo/Glimt, scoring 42 goals and providing 12 assists in 82 appearances. His most eye-catching display came in the 3–1 win over Manchester City, when he scored twice in a result that will go down as one of the biggest in the Norwegian club’s history.

For Celtic, the need for more goals is clear. Kyogo left last year and was not replaced. Adam Idah also departed, while winger Nicolas Kuhn — one of the team’s most reliable scorers last season — has gone as well. A large chunk of attacking output has left Celtic Park without being properly replaced.
Tomas Cvancara has already arrived this window to bolster the forward line. The on-loan Borussia Monchengladbach striker made his debut against Hearts and, although he did not score, Martin O’Neill was pleased with his movement and work rate.
Even so, O’Neill and the recruitment team are still looking for at least one more striker to ease the load in attack. Hogh’s record in Norway, his physical profile, and his recent performance on the European stage make him an attractive option.
Whether Celtic can beat Norwich and agree terms with Bodo/Glimt remains to be seen.
