On matchday 30, Martin O’Neill’s team secured a valuable 3-1 victory against Motherwell, staging a comeback that earned them three vital points in the championship race.

Yang Hyun-Jun’s decisive goal in Celtic’s comeback

The match began with a surprise, as Motherwell took the lead in the 32nd minute thanks to a goal from Elijah Just. However, Celtic’s reaction was immediate, and just six minutes later, Yang Hyun-jun leveled the score at 1-1 in the 38th minute, putting Celtic ahead before halftime and changing the momentum of the game.

In the second half, the Glasgow side showed greater control and ultimately turned the game in their favor. In the 72nd minute, Tomáš Čvančara converted a penalty to make it 2-1 and complete the comeback.

Finally, Yang Hyun-jun struck again in the 79th minute to complete his brace and seal the 3-1 victory in a crucial match for the team’s title aspirations.

Thanks to this win, Celtic close the gap on league leaders Hearts, now sitting just two points behind the top spot. With only a few matches remaining, O’Neill’s side maintains its hopes of challenging for the title until the very end of the season.
