Celtic are preparing negotiations with Boca Juniors for a long-awaited transfer

Celtic is already thinking about the future of its project and is clear that it needs to build a competitive squad. In that context, one of the moves gaining momentum is the intention to permanently sign Marcelo Saracchi, currently on loan at the club.
The Uruguayan full-back has impressed during his loan spell, showing solid performances and adapting to the team’s system. This has led the board to seriously consider extending his stay beyond June 30, the date on which his loan ends.
A permanent transfer that is close to being finalized
The operation will not be easy, as Marcelo Saracchi has a contract with Boca Juniors until 2027. This would force Celtic to negotiate a permanent transfer, possibly for a considerable sum, if they want to secure the player for their long-term project.
Beyond the transfer market, the player is also focused on the present, where he aims to finish the season in the best possible way.
With the title fight still open against Heart of Midlothian, Saracchi wants to be a key piece of a team that still dreams of being crowned champion.
