Celtic international round up: A look back at the break
A look back at the international break for Celtic players representing their countries

Upon the conclusion of tonight’s games in the early hours of BST, the fourth and final international break of the 25/26 season will be over.
The games to be played tonight do not involve any Celtic players, so we can now go over how the break went for the Hoops on international duty.
Goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo was part of the Finland squad taking part in the FIFA Series over in New Zealand. In their first game, the Celtic man started as they beat the hosts with a comfortable 2-0 victory.
In the team’s second game, Monaco number one and captain Lukas Hradecky was preferred, as they drew 1-1 with Cape Verde. The African side beat Finland 4-2 on penalties, despite Hradecky saving a penalty himself.
Meanwhile, Sebastian Tounekti scored the only goal of the game as Tunisia beat Haiti, one of Scotland’s World Cup opponents. In their second game, against Canada, he played 45 minutes as a half time sub.
Elsewhere, Yang Hyun-Jun was a substitute for South Korea in both of their friendlies, as they lost to Ivory Coast and Austria, playing around half an hour off the bench on each occasion.
For Scotland’s friendly at home to Japan, both Anthony Ralston and Kiera Tierney were second half subs, as they fell to a 1-0 defeat. In their second friendly, at home to Ivory Coast, the former was an unused sub, whilst the latter played the full 90.
Not the most productive of breaks barring Sinisalo’s clean sheet for Finland, but crucially, no fresh injury concerns to report, which is all you can ask for.
