Celtic attacker overcomes hamstring issues to rejoin squad for season finale

Amid a season complicated by constant injuries, Celtic is beginning to receive some positive news. One of these is the recovery of Callum Osmand, who has overcome the hamstring problems that hampered his playing time for much of the season.

The forward, who arrived from Fulham, had a promising start with Celtic, playing six matches and showing glimpses of his attacking prowess. However, injuries interrupted his progress just as he was beginning to establish himself on the team.

A quick return for an ideal attacker for Celtic

Now, as confirmed by Martin O’Neill, the player is very close to returning. “Callum is doing really well, he’s anxious to go, and I think he’s been working exceptionally well. So, hopefully that won’t be too far.”

The manager stated, making it clear that his return could happen soon. Although he is not expected to have a decisive role in the remainder of the season, his recovery provides another attacking option.

Looking ahead, Celtic are confident they can field a much more complete squad, free from injury setbacks. In that scenario, Osmand could become an interesting addition, bringing freshness and goals to a team that will need to bolster its attack to compete at the highest level again next season.
