Celtic submits offer for Italian club’s winger, talks ongoing
Celtic are in negotiations with an Italian club to sign a winger before the January transfer deadline.

Celtic have submitted an offer for winger Fares Ghedjemis as they move to strengthen their options out wide in the closing days of the January transfer window.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Celtic have lodged a bid with Frosinone and that negotiations between the two clubs are underway. The Scottish champions are keen to add more threat on the flanks after a mixed return from recent signings and a long-term injury to one of their key wide players.
Celtic brought in two wingers last summer, but neither has provided a consistent answer. One started brightly before seeing his form collapse, while the other has struggled to convince from the moment he arrived. With their main creative outlet still sidelined and not expected to feature at all this season, the need for fresh quality on the wings has become urgent.

Ghedjemis has been one of Frosinone’s standout performers this term. The 23-year-old has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 21 league appearances, emerging as a reliable attacking outlet and a regular starter. His age and production make him an appealing profile for a club looking for players who can contribute now and develop further.
There are, however, some questions. Ghedjemis has spent most of his career in the lower tiers of France and Italy. Moving to Celtic would mean handling the expectation to win almost every domestic game and adapting to the physical and mental demands that come with playing for a club of that size.
Celtic are also monitoring other wide options. Hungarian winger Damir Redzic has been linked in recent days, and some reports suggest talks have taken place over a possible move before deadline day.
