Fabrizio Romano confirms double transfer blow for Celtic
Fabrizio Romano has delivered a double transfer setback for Celtic’s striker plans.

Celtic look set to miss out on two high-profile striker options this month, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Norwich City have lodged an €8 million bid for one target and West Ham United deciding to keep another.
According to Romano, Norwich have submitted an €8m package, including add-ons, for Bodo/Glimt forward Kasper Hogh, with talks ongoing between the Championship club and the Norwegian side.
Celtic have been linked with the Danish striker, but are unlikely to match that level of spending so late in the window.

The Italian journalist wrote that Norwich’s offer is on the table and negotiations are continuing, putting them in a strong position to win the race for the in-demand attacker.
For Celtic, who have so far favoured loan deals and lower-risk options, such a fee would represent a major outlay.
In a separate update, Romano has also delivered another setback for the Scottish champions. Callum Wilson, who had been heavily mentioned as a possible solution to Celtic’s need for a proven goalscorer, is now expected to stay at West Ham United.
Romano reported that West Ham’s hierarchy have made a “decision” to keep the striker this month, with no plans to part ways before the deadline. The England international scored a 93rd-minute winner against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, a moment that appears to have cemented his place in the squad.
