Hearts predicted XI vs. Celtic: All set for Scottish Premiership title decider

Celtic hosts Hearts in the Scottish Premiership title decider.

Celtic hosts Hearts at Celtic Park this Saturday, May 16, for the final matchday of the Scottish Premiership. The title will be decided here.

The Hoops are second with 79 points, while The Jambos arrive at the last match of the season as leaders, but only one point ahead of Celtic, with 80.

Hearts have the chance to make history, as they have not been league champions in Scotland since 1959-60, while since 1984-85, when Aberdeen took the trophy, there has been no non-Old Firm champion.

Therefore, the stage is set for history to be written.

Celtic comes off a surprising victory against Motherwell, as they started losing with a goal from Elliot Watt in the 16th minute. In the 40th, Daizen Maeda equalized, and Benjamin Nygren gave the Bhoys a partial lead in the 57th minute.

Things became complicated for Martin O’Neill’s men in the 84th minute, with a goal from Liam Gordon. It was not until the 98th minute that Kelechi Iheanacho, via a penalty, gave the visiting team the victory.

A different story from Hearts’ most recent match, which they dominated extensively in a 3-0 win over Falkirk, with goals from Frankie Kent (28th), Cammy Devlin (33rd), and Blair Spittal (85th).
