Sky Sports has revealed that the Celtic Fans’ Collective, which represents hundreds of groups of the club, is once again demanding the exit of chief executive Michael Nicholson, the reinstatement of the Green Brigade (the Parkhead club’s ultra group), and the restoration of the club’s access to fan media.
The tension between the fans and the club is in a negative state, and the coach Martin O’Neill makes a call for unity and not separation in the club and supporters’ relationship, as this generates a bad atmosphere for the upcoming matches and competitions.
“Let’s find out what all the grievances are and see if we can correct some, because from there on in the club will get into bother if that happens. In the long run, it is debilitating, and it affects people. Celtic have always prided themselves on their togetherness, and it is strange, really, that it is in this situation. So we need the fans.”
