Celtic are set to sign former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 32, on a six-month contract.

After various reports that associated Celtic with the possible acquisition of a former star of Arsenal and Liverpool, confirmation has been reached that this player will be a new signing for Celtic.

Confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be a new player for Martin O’Neill’s team, where the contract would be revolving around six months, from here until the end of the season in June 2026.

This paves the way for them to continue reinforcing the squad in a positive manner to compete in the UEFA Europa League and also the local competitions, which allows them to think about the future and a project that gets them into the UEFA Champions League for the next season.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain agrees to short-term Celtic move

After he began with Arsenal, where, from the youth academy,y he demonstrated great talent, and where he managed to establish himself in the first team, he left very positive feelings of a midfielder with goals and above all an unbalanced offensive projection, which led him to move to Liverpool, where we saw his best sporting version.

This is what Celtic hope for, despite being 32 years old, he is a player who is still at an age to be able to give his best performance and contribute to The Hoops project. His experience will also play a very important role in this final stretch of the 25/26 season.

Official confirmation from Celtic is still pending, but it is a deal that is already done, and where his experience and offensive play will stand out significantly for Martin O’Neill’s squad, which hopes to end the season lifting titles.
